Abstract: This study investigated the relationship that exist between total dissolve solids (TDS) and electrical conductivity (EC) for mono-, di- and tri-valent metal compounds. Standard solution of soluble and ionizable representatives of these different valency metal compounds (NaCl, CaCl2, and FeCl2. 4H20) were prepared and there EC and TDS values were obtained at different concentrations with a suitable EC/TDS meter. Increase in EC and TDS values follows the trend, at 0.01M NaCl, EC is 1.4ms/cm, TDS is 0.8ppm. At 0.1MCaCl2, EC is 2.36ms/cm, TDS is 1.43ppm. At 0.1MFeCl2.4H20 EC is 2.36ms/cm, and TDS is1.57ppm. From the data obtained,   mathematical model was established for the different valency metal compounds to state the relationship between EC and TDS. For each of the compounds an appropriate model to state the relationship are, for mono-valent metal compound NaCl, (EC = 0.052672+1.5025.TDS), di-valent metal compound, CaCl2 (EC= 1.072 + 131.TDS) and tri-valent metal compound, FeCl2. 4H20 (EC = 0.0251879 + 1. 49308 TDS) such that with a solution of such metal compound the value of EC or TDS can be approximately calculated and ascertained from the other.

Abstract: Households in Tanzania use a combination of energy sources for cooking and lighting, such sources may include firewood, charcoal, kerosene, LPG gas, and electricity. More than 90% of Tanzanian primary energy is supplied by biomass, and most of this energy source is used for cooking in households (URT, 2003; MEM, 2011). This high reliance on biomass material has created an environmental burden and threat of forest disappearance in the country. On the other hand, over consumption of forest has resulted to a number of other negative impacts such as soil degradation, water sources degradation, and disruption of rainfall patterns. This paper assumes that biogas production technology has the great potential to reduce the high reliance on biomass (forest and woodland in particular) and in turns mitigates the environmental impact resulted by over consumption of biomass.  More than 85% of Tanzanians rely on agriculture activities as the main source of income, and there is a positive relationship between agriculture development and biogas production development particularly in the rural areas. The study reveals that there has been a dramatically increase of adoption of biogas production technology in the country since 2009 to date. Up to 2009 there were 103 biogas plants countrywide, and up to 2013 a total number of 3819 biogas plants were already built in the country, an increase of 3608% of actual biogas production across 13 Regions in Tanzania and this is done through 11 different Biogas Agents. Disseminating this technology to most families living in rural areas, and some living in urban areas will significantly conserve the environment, improve agricultural activities, hence improve the food chain, and create employment particularly to youths in these areas.

Abstract: The rate of fatalities and serious injuries at construction site has risen ultimately for the last few years. One of the main factors of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) incident is human errors. Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) is a systematic method that helps workers to identify and change their behaviours to prevent unwanted incidents at the workplace. This paper aims to identify the awareness level of Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) in construction sites. The methodology of this paper is through quantitative research on a total of 58 numbers of respondents among Safety and Health Officers (SHO) working in construction industry. The general finding of this paper shows the workers awareness in terms of behaviour is still in moderate level. Future research related to this field should be expanded to enhance the effectiveness of BBS system implementation in the construction industry.

Abstract: The size, shape and finishes of the small home theater room decide the acoustic quality of the home theater room. This paper analysis the various options for the design of home theater room for musical instruments and for multi-purpose use. The determination of home theater room sizes, proportions, shapes and finishes with their possible impact on the sound quality are discussed and also standing waves, room modes and even distribution of the modes in home theater rooms are also addressed. At the design phase this would determine the final cost, floor areas utilized. In the home theater acoustic the size, shape and modes are the major “elements”. The frequency response and the reverberation time are the important part of entire system. If want to build a home theater, will be starting with the actual room itself. The size and the shape of the room provide a significant impact on the performance of the home theater and how to makes the room better sound quality for the home theater are discussed.

Abstract: In this paper we are discussing about the Wind Tunnel and its types. The Wind Tunnel Testing Machine is used in Aerodynamic research to study the effects of Air moving past to the solid objects. This paper we discuss the Drag force analysis of car by using low speed wind tunnel. In the testing we use the pitot tube, manometer and solid object (airfoil). Solid object is representing the original shape of the object. The testing chamber is main part of wind tunnel. We calculate the velocity of fluid and drag & lift forces. It is use to experimental analysis of object. Experiment conducted after build to find drag coefficient of a shape. An impression of fluid field flow around a shape is using air.

Abstract: This paper represents the Quality of Service (QOS) in next generation network. We outline primarily standardized QOS control architectures with respect to the service and transport strata of NGN. And discuss the conditions of QOS in NGN connectivity and QOS in NGN user terminals. This information is useful regarding the identification of adequate QOS monitoring points in order to provide a resource-saving QOS monitoring approach.

Abstract: This paper describes the design of a remote control tripod dolly, namely iDolly, a specialized piece of equipment designed to create smooth camera movements and ease equipment transportation. The final tripod dolly is 8 kg and is able to carry a load of 15 kg. IDolly is the first tripod dolly which can be controlled remotely. Existing tripod dolly available in the market are either controlled by pull handle, steering wheel or hand-operated. Mechanical design of iDolly is presented in this paper. The design concept, construction as well as components selection are included in this paper.
