Abstract: This study investigates the effect of classroom engagement strategies on the academic performance of primary school pupils in Obuasi Municipal, Ghana. Guided by constructivist learning theory, the study examined the role of three key engagement strategies: use of educational technology, teacher-student interaction, and peer collaboration. A cross-sectional survey design was employed, involving 317 pupils selected through purposive and random sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed with SmartPLS. The findings revealed that all three engagement strategies positively and significantly influenced academic performance, with peer collaboration emerging as the most influential factor. The study underscores the importance of active and interactive learning environments in enhancing pupils’ academic success.
