Abstract: The overwhelming volume of unfiltered and potentially harmful content on social media and websites poses significant challenges to digital well-being, especially for users seeking a more controlled and distraction-free online experience. In response to this issue, this study presents the design, development, and evaluation of SocialScreen: a Chromium browser extension that filters social media posts and web text content using a Fuzzy Matching algorithm. The primary objective of the project is to provide users with an effective tool for managing online content by allowing both preset and user-defined datasets for filtering. The extension was developed using Visual Studio Code, JavaScript, Node.js, Webpack, HTML, and CSS, and was guided by the Agile methodology throughout the software development lifecycle. Functional and performance testing were conducted to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and responsiveness of the system. Evaluation sessions and structured surveys gathered feedback from both end-users and IT professionals, focusing on usability and software quality, based on ISO/IEC 25010 standards.

Results indicate that SocialScreen demonstrated strong performance in maintainability, with a modular design and ease of updates, supported by comprehensive documentation. However, some limitations were identified in the area of portability, particularly with respect to accessibility compliance and full compatibility across all Chromium-based browsers. The implementation of the Fuzzy Matching algorithm proved to be a valuable enhancement, enabling flexible and accurate filtering of textual content. The Agile methodology facilitated iterative improvements, ensuring a user-centric development approach. Overall, evaluation findings confirmed the tool’s functional effectiveness and acceptable quality performance.

Abstract: With the continuous advancement of technology, game-based learning has been increasingly integrated into various subjects to enhance student engagement and improve learning outcomes. Research shows that students are more motivated and retain knowledge better when instructional objectives are reinforced through games and interactive activities (Plass, 2022; Sutton, 2021; Fasanella, 2020). This study aims to develop a mobile game as an alternative learning platform focused on the subject JPL Life and His Works at Lyceum of the Philippines University – Cavite. A mixed-methods approach was employed, with a pre-survey distributed to fifty-six (56) students across all year levels. The game was developed using Unity 3D, Adobe Photoshop, Blender for 3D asset creation, and C# as the programming language within the Unity engine, designed specifically for Android mobile devices. System evaluation included compatibility and functionality testing. Results from thirty (30) student users and ten (10) IT experts, assessed using the MARS (Mobile App Rating Scale), rated the system as “highly acceptable” with an average mean score of 3.63 and a standard deviation of 0.42. Findings suggest that the developed mobile game effectively enhances student involvement and provides an engaging and efficient learning experience. This research demonstrates the potential of mobile game-based platforms as valuable tools to support learning in higher education.

Abstract: ZiPlus is a browser extension developed for Chromium-based browsers to provide users with a convenient tool for compressing and decompressing files without switching applications. This study addresses the growing need for efficient data compression due to increasing data storage demands. Using the Agile Software Development Life Cycle and the DEFLATE algorithm, the system was built and evaluated based on ISO/IEC 25010 quality standards. Ten IT experts and thirty-five subject matter users assessed its functionality, usability, and reliability. Results indicate that ZiPlus meets core software quality metrics, offering a practical and accessible solution for digital file management within academic environments.

Abstract: The Scholarship Management System (SMS) with Content Management System (CMS) aims to provide students with an online platform to check their application status and receive automated updates. This system automates the entire scholarship lifecycle, from application to approval, and offers features such as eligibility quizzes to ensure compliance with requirements. Currently, Lyceum of the Philippines University - Cavite manages scholarships manually using Excel files and bulletin boards for information dissemination. Applicants must visit the administration office for forms and updates. The proposed web-based SMS will digitize this process, allowing students to apply online, track application status, and access scholarship details, while administrators can manage applications, generate reports, and maintain secure records. The system, developed using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL, will be accessible via various web browsers on computers and smartphones. It will enhance transparency, reduce administrative workload, and improve the overall efficiency of scholarship management. The development process includes requirements gathering, user design, construction, testing, and implementation. The system's functionality, security, and reliability will be evaluated through extensive testing. The evaluation tools are based on ISO/IEC 25010 standards, and initial tests show high acceptance and functionality rates among end-users and IT experts. The system includes roles for users, administrators, committee members, chairpersons, and IT maintenance, ensuring streamlined collaboration and approval processes. It will not offer chat support or email notifications, focusing solely on LPU- Cavite's official students and staff. The system's hardware requirements include a minimum Intel Core i3 processor and compatibility with web browsers like Chrome, Edge, and Safari.

Abstract: Cleanliness encompasses personal hygiene, sanitation practices, and the cleanliness of our immediate surroundings. Proper personal hygiene practices, such as regular handwashing with soap and water, help prevent the spread of infectious diseases and reduce the risk of contamination. In educational settings, clean and well-maintained schools provide a conducive environment for effective learning and student engagement. CleanUp will contribute in terms of how people operate when it comes in cleaning classrooms and other facilities within the school’s premises. This project will supplement Lyceum of the Philippines University-Cavite with a management system for faster and more convenient room cleaning on its premises. It also features an administration panel to assign cleaning task to the personnel and appoints events that need further cleaning preparation. The project was created and designed with Figma, flutter and Vue JS while Firebase database as its backbone. The applications are applicable for users who have smartphones Android platform, from 9.0 pie to the most recent 12.0 Snow Cone. The evaluation of the application was done with ten (10) IT experts, including the research adviser, and thirty-one (31) end users. The evaluation instruments used were MARS tools with criteria Functionality, Aesthetics, Engagement, and Information with an average mean of "3.75" and a Standard Deviation of "0.25" with the interpretation of "Highly Acceptable" on the overall results. ISO 25010 tools with criteria Functionality, Reliability, Usability, Compatibility, Maintainability, Portability, and Security with an average mean of "3.77" and a Standard Deviation of "0.27" with the interpretation of "Highly Acceptable" on the overall results. Based on the evaluation's findings, the application was considered effective enough to be used as a tool to oversee cleaning activities and operations using CleanUp by end users and IT specialists.

Abstract: The developed project of the researchers entitled “Little Milestones” addresses the challenge of ensuring proper monitoring for toddlers through the development of an Android application. This application, designed for infants to toddlers ranging from ages 0-3 years old, offers a comprehensive solution with features such as personalized profiles, immunization records, medication reminders, doctor's contact information, milestone tracking, growth monitoring, and daily tips. For early intervention in children aged 0-3, the project utilizes Android Studio (Java) for front-end and backend development, ensuring compatibility with Android Version 7.0 and higher. The developers also used Visual Studio and Notepad++ for the admin side, and Firestore for the database. While focusing on health record tracking in General Trias, Cavite, the project signifies its importance by benefiting pediatricians, parents, caregivers, and researchers, providing accurate health data, and contributing to future research in similar domains. Through functionality and compatibility testing, the researchers prepared test cases for the testers. Functional testing involved a technical adviser, three IT specialists, and one Pediatrician Administrator, with 116-119 criteria tested and a 100% success rate from all testers. Compatibility testing showed a 100% success rate from the Technical Adviser and IT Experts, and an 80% success rate from the Administrator. Not only this, but the application also aims to meet Android Core App Quality standards and the ISO/IEC-25010 criteria. The results of the evaluation indicate that the Android Core App Quality app quality received positive feedback being “Acceptable” and the adherence to the ISO/IEC-25010 criteria is “Highly Acceptable.
